Compactiones

The digitization activities and subsequent processing planned by the project focused on the corpus of 2095 manuscripts parchments preserved at Montecassino Abbey and collected in folders, known as the Compactiones. The sequential numbering of the folders in Roman numerals runs from I to XXXIII. Starting with fragment no. 1790, all fragments assigned solely by their inventory number. This operation was carried out by Don Mariano Dell’Omo, archivist of Montecassino, as part of a reorganization activity launched in 2014 and still ongoing.
